Finally finished a larger painting. It is 48 x 36 inches, titled Endless Blue, available here.
I have about a million paintings in progress, and if you'd like to see what I'm up to (since I haven't been too on top of blog posts) please feel free to check in on my Instagram.

Artists Heal PH
Kai and I both donated prints to Artists Heal, to help raise money for relief efforts in the Philippines.
Their pop up shop is full of wonderful handmade things that would make super holiday gifts. Check it out if you have a second!
" On November 8th, Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) struck a path of destruction through the Philippines affecting millions of people. The images seen were heartbreaking and the stories of loss unimaginable. This was where we came from – the place our family called home.
Artists Heal PH was created by Nancy Mungcal, Michelle Mungcal and Neysa Bowers (sisters) to help support Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts in the Philippines.
A pop-up shop of art + goods, Artists Heal PH will be open from November 28 - December 31. All net proceeds will be donated to benefit The International Rescue Committee."

from our studios
After a summer of commissions I am back to my own work. Above are three works in progress, and if you'd like to see more, I will be posting new paintings from start to finish on Instagram and Facebook.
And below is a peak into my husband Kai's studio! He is currently having a show of small work at the Cold Press in England through the end of September. I really love the new direction his work is headed, and the ones below don't even include his newest work, and my favorite which he still needs to photograph! You can see more of his works in progress on his blog and Facebook.

busy summer days
It has been a busy summer! I haven't taken a day off in three weeks, and don't know if I ever will again, but it's good to be busy. I finished up a new batch of paintings (non of which are listed online yet) some of which will be heading off to the Fig House in Los Angeles for an inaugural show curated by the lovely and crazy talented, Danielle Krysa aka the Jealous Curator.
And I am making headway on eight commissions one of which measures four by six feet...quite a big guy in my tiny studio! You can see some of the pile up in the photos above. I love working on commissions because it gives me time to brainstorm ideas for my own work, which I should be getting back to in the fall. I am itching to make some abstract paintings...we'll see.
Happy late July!
