Weekend fun. and what Harry said!

 This weekend is the Bodega Bay Fisherman's Festival! Kai is selling art, and we will both be enjoying the pet parade which includes llamas wrangled by one of my favorite ladies from the post office, Mary. Come on down if you are in the area!

New sewn prints

Finally finished some new sewn prints. Today is our 4 years of dating anniversary, and we are headed down to SF to drop off some of Kai's art at the SFMOMA gallery for an upcoming sale, and then to visit other galleries and eat lots of treats.

I am falling more and more in love with Sophie Blackall's beautiful illustrations.

Happy Martini time!

So simple, and so good! I am craving a dirty martini...yes, it is only after 11am, but it's Friday.
Do you prefer vodka to gin, if so you haven't actually tried a gin martini, because they are amazing!
For some reason none of the recipes I found include bitters, but we like to put a little splash of it in too.

Little piggies

The best thing happened while we were driving the other day. We spotted three piglets playing amidst a group of dairy cows! They were really frolicking and looked so happy. I didn't have time to take a picture (this one's from Australia...and I'm not sure why the little guy on the end is foaming at the mouth). I said what I always say to Kai when we see baby animals, in my baby animal voice: "Kai, please don't eat me!"
Kai responds, "Mmmmmm."
