New undies?

I am in the market for some new undies, after a terrible incident with a pen  in the dryer left most of my undies looking dalmatian.  These ones from Ohhh Lulu look pretty and comfy all at once!
And I am thinking about getting some new additions from Katastrophic, makers of my favorite undies of all time!

That's my kind of workout!

She's faster than most and she lives on the coast...

Sometimes I daydream in another life I am Marc Bolan, is that weird?

So beautiful!

My mom and I are both in love with the girl from Janey, (look at that hair and those eyes)  and I would like to own all of their lovely, light and summery designs.

I love this still from Wild Boys of the Road (image from The Berkley Daily Planet)
I wonder how the movie would hold up today?

Happy weekend!

Beautiful limited edition print 3 by Jessica Lucas.

Tyr my hero!

Last Friday I found Tyr, an over the top super awesome stamp maker from Stockholm! Within a few days of contacting Tyr, she had carved these amazing stamps for my mailing envelopes.  I can't wait to receive them! You can see more of her awesome designs in her shop, This is Just to Say.

Sketches

Kai and I started going to figure drawing sessions Wednesdays. It's so much fun to just draw without the pressure to make something finished, or good, or whatever...I decided to make paint sketches too. I did these two portraits below mostly from my imagination- probably why they are super wonky looking.

More Sesame...

Stevie Wonder was on Sesame Street too in the 70's...and man was he cute!

Slim Whitman

He's a little creepy looking, but I love him.

Which Greek island? Hmm...

Kai and I are fantasizing about traveling...warm traveling. After minimal amounts of research, ( before this really happens it's going to take a lot more, and probably some money too, huh) we decided we want to go to one of the more remote Greek islands. But there are so many...I am trying to figure out which are the least touristy, and have the best beaches and hikes and walks. Pictured above is Skopelos, and below is Hydra...there are no cars on Hydra (both images from Wikipedia).
And I am still trying to find this place!

O.G. I.C. from the B.V.

If you haven't already, make sure to stop by the Buena Vista on your next trip to San Francisco. Home of the original Irish Coffee, a drink I was raised on...well maybe not raised on, but I can't really remember not drinking them, and my mom tells stories of drinking two every day on her lunch breaks while living in SF in the 70's. The only difference between mine and the Buena Vista's is I usually use Bushmill's (and a bit more of it) instead of Tullamore Dew, after doing the Dew one Paddy's Day and waking up on the 18th with an empty bottle and splitting headache.

Irish-ish

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Even though I am only 1/16th Irish I have always felt a special kinship with the Irish people because I have the Irish spelling of my name (Clare). Also, apparently there are men named Clare, and this is the man spelling...hmm.
When I was three, my nursery school teacher gave me an invisible leprechaun to take home with me on St. Patrick's Day. I put it in a little plastic baseball cap from Baskin Robins. I flipped the cap over and put a penny under it, and when I lifted it up there was a tiny chocolate bar in it's place! I still believe in leprechauns.

We could be friends!

A detail of Kai's new painting which is almost finished. I love this one so much, I secretly hope it doesn't sell for a while so we can hang it up, and I can stare at it a while longer.

Wishing for warmer days
