summer memories

It has been two years since we left Florida, and while I love Northern California and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, there is one thing I miss... the beaches. These photos were taken on one of our trips to the Keys, where the water was so shallow you could walk in the perfectly clear, bath tub warm ocean for yards.
(Kai hates that photo of us, but I think it's cute).

Have you visited the SoCal beaches? Might change your mind about Pacific coastal waters....

Actually we were only in Florida for a little less than a year, so SoCal beaches will always be my favorite. Hope you are well too :); 8:05 PM
R R said...: California beaches are deceiving. You look out the window to see a bright sunny day smiling at you, so you get your swimming suit and a nice flowy dress on, only to step outside and freeze. And if you get in the water your toes go numb so fast.
It is beautiful here, but the freezing water is not enjoyable.
There is nothing like a warm ocean to swim into and relax.
